BILINGUAL SUPPORT STAFF REQUIRED
Multicultural Care provides Home Care packages, multicultural day care, respite care, domestic assistance and transport services to frail aged people and people with disabilities from diverse background. Bilingual Support staff is sought to assist with these services, initially on a casual basis with a possibility to work on a permanent part-time basis depending upon the satisfactory performance and demand of services.
ESSENTIAL: Fluency in English and a second language.
Ability to care for needs of frail elderly people; people with disabilities; experience in working with the frail aged and people with disabilities (but not essential); good communication and interpersonal skills; aware of and sensitive to the needs of frail aged from CALD background; able to work independently and in a team; able to run group activities for the frail aged and people with disabilities; current driving license & access to a car.
- First Aid Certificate
- Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent
- Knowledge of Aged Care Services
- Knowledge of Disability Services
- Skills in diversion activities suitable for the elderly or people with disabilities.
Ideally you live in the Inner West, South East or South West Suburbs of Sydney.
HOURS & SALARY: Part Time, SCHDSI Award 2010 (“the Modern Award”) – Home Care Employee classification. Pay point dependent upon experience.
