Supporting your independence at home and beyond
Home Care Package and Short-term Restorative Care services are now combined under the Government’s new Support at Home program. This reform brings 8 new classifications for ongoing services and 4 classifications for people transitioning from the Home Care Packages Program. Each classification will have a specific budget for participants to access services. These will depend on your individual situations e.g. whether you are a full or part pensioner or self-funded retiree. Older people applying for Support at Home services will first need to be assessed by My Aged Care.
Available services are classified under three different service categories; Clinical Supports, Independence, and Every Day Living.
