Support at Home

An overview of the new Support at Home Program

The Australian Government has announced the Support at Home program will commence on 1 November 2025. Over the next four months you will receive regular updates to help understand these changes, and what you might need to do as a participant or as a registered representative.

What is the Support at Home Program?

Support at Home is the new name for the in-home packaged care services you may already be receiving from us. It will combine services from the current Home Care Package Program and Short-Term Restorative Care programme.

Will I still receive my current HCP services over the next four months?

Yes. For the next four months you will continue to receive care and services as agreed with Multicultural Care. Any HCP funds not spent will still be accumulated and rolled into the next financial year.

Can I still adjust my care package?

Yes. Multicultural Care is committed to providing you with continued flexibility to meet your assessed care needs.

Can I do anything to prepare for November?

Yes. You can call My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to check who is currently listed as your representative and familiarise yourself with the proposed new Registered Supporter roles and responsibilities.
