Short Term Restorative Care

Short Term Restorative Care

INTENSIVE 8 WEEK PROGRAM

Short Term Restorative Care (STRC) packages are designed to slow the functional decline in older people who are at risk of losing their independence, and improve their overall wellbeing and quality of life.

This is achieved through a flexible care program that is delivered in a home setting by a multidisciplinary team (including a doctor and allied health care specialists) who will identify and treat any medical conditions.

Funded by the Department of Health, these packages are built on wellness, reablement and restorative approaches which focus on what people can and want to do, not simply what they cannot do – using culturally appropriate strategies.
