CHSP is for people who are mostly independent but might need help with a few everyday tasks. It’s entry-level support to help you stay safe and well at home.

This might include meals, transport, cleaning, nursing, allied health, social support, or planned respite. It is entry-level support to help you stay safe and well at home. The CHSP is still operating now and is due to continue until at least 30 June 2027.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, you must be:

  • 65 years or older, or
  • an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and aged at least 50, or
  • homeless, or at risk of homelessness, and aged at least 50.

What you may pay

You will usually be asked to pay a contribution, but not the full cost. The amount depends on the services you use and what you can afford. Get in touch for a confidential conversation about pricing.
